There’s a star out there in the constellation Cygnus the Swan, about 1,400 light years away from Earth. At first glance through a telescope, it appears as nothing special… Just one of hundreds of billions of points of light scattered across the Milky Way.

This particular star started behaving in a way that had people scratching their heads. Its light was not steady. It was not even flickering the way you would expect from a planet passing in front of it. Something else much more strange was happening here.
